Key players in advanced training

Promoting high-quality advanced and further training of psychologists is one of the key tasks of the FSP. That is why it also represents the first point of contact for advanced training institutions, people interested in advanced training and authorities in all questions relating to the advanced and further training of psychologists.

  • The FSP supports the federal legislative procedure with regard to psychological training, advanced training and further training. It makes use of its extensive experience as far as legal enforcement is concerned.
  • It provides support to advanced training providers in the federal accreditation procedure.
  • It sets out requirements for advanced training programmes leading to a FSP specialist title in terms of both quality and quantity.
  • It awards a specialist title or additional qualification to all those who successfully complete one of the advanced training courses recognised by the FSP.
  • Since 1998 it has offered a modular advanced training curriculum that leads to a specialist title in psychotherapy.
  • The FSP advises its members on all questions relating to training, advanced training and further training, and makes sure that they comply with their training obligations.
